Antikodonjával

Antikodonjával refers to the anticodon of a transfer RNA (tRNA) molecule. The anticodon is a sequence of three nucleotides that is complementary to a specific codon on a messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule. This complementary base pairing is crucial for the process of translation, where the genetic code carried by mRNA is used to synthesize proteins.

During translation, a ribosome moves along the mRNA. For each codon on the mRNA, a corresponding tRNA molecule arrives. The anticodon on the tRNA recognizes and binds to the mRNA codon through hydrogen bonds. This binding ensures that the correct amino acid, carried by the tRNA, is added to the growing polypeptide chain. If the anticodon does not match the codon, the tRNA will not bind, and translation will proceed with the correct amino acid. The specificity of the anticodon-codon interaction is fundamental to maintaining the accuracy of protein synthesis.
