Alshariyya

Alshariyya is a concept primarily found in Islamic jurisprudence, referring to legal rulings derived from the Quran and the Sunnah, the teachings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad. These rulings form the basis of Sharia law, which guides Muslims in various aspects of life, including personal conduct, family matters, and societal organization. The interpretation and application of alshariyya are complex, involving various schools of thought and methodologies among Islamic scholars.

The primary sources for alshariyya are the divine revelations in the Quran and the authenticated traditions of the Prophet Muhammad, known as Hadith. When these sources are not explicit, jurists employ secondary sources and reasoning methods. These include Ijma, the consensus of scholars, and Qiyas, analogical reasoning. Fiqh, Islamic jurisprudence, is the human understanding and articulation of alshariyya, and it has evolved over centuries through the efforts of numerous scholars.

The scope of alshariyya extends to all areas of human activity, encompassing religious obligations, ethical principles, economic transactions, criminal justice, and personal status laws.
