Allostaatiline

Allostaatiline refers to a specific type of concern in international law. It originates from the concept of international law and pertains to a situation where a state's internal or external affairs are being controlled or administered by another state but without making the first state an integral or constituent part of the latter.

The term "allostaatilise" or allostaatine in Estonian, translates to 'foreign state'. The concept gained prominence in the context of Baltic states after World War I where several entities including Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, became controlled by other states owing to the tumultuous nature of the post-war era.

It was used in the interwar era in discussions concerning post-war settlements in the regional area. The compound word in Estonian "allosstaatiline" combining two words 'allo' and'staatiline' 'foreign-state' conveys essence of the legal implications of a state being administered by another.

Accusations of the regions becoming "allostaatiline" in the pasts are tied to several national interests that contributed to regional complexities and subsequent reevaluations of international laws by concerned nations. Discussions of this occurrence underscore problems in global principle for partially allotting national partially control or liberated areas.
