Alkoholkomponente
Alkoholkomponente refers to the alcohol content within a mixture or compound. It is most commonly discussed in the context of beverages, where it denotes the proportion of ethanol, the intoxicating component of alcoholic drinks, relative to the total volume. This is typically expressed as alcohol by volume (ABV), a percentage indicating how many milliliters of pure ethanol are present in 100 milliliters of the final product. For example, a beer with an ABV of 5% contains 5 ml of ethanol per 100 ml of beer.
Beyond beverages, the term alcoholkomponente can also be used in chemistry to describe the alcohol portion
