Alcooltype is a term that refers to the classification of alcoholic beverages based on their alcohol content and production method. Broadly, alcoholic drinks can be categorized into two main groups: fermented beverages and distilled beverages. Fermented beverages are produced through the process of yeast converting sugars into ethanol. Examples include beer, wine, and cider, which typically have a lower alcohol by volume (ABV) than distilled spirits.
