Aktsioniste

Aktsioniste refers to shareholders in Estonian company law. A shareholder, or aktsionär, is an individual or entity that owns one or more shares in a joint-stock company, known as an aktsiaselts. Ownership of shares grants the aktsionär certain rights and responsibilities related to the company. These rights typically include the right to vote on company matters at general meetings, the right to receive dividends if declared by the company, and the right to a portion of the company's assets in the event of liquidation. The extent of these rights is usually proportional to the number of shares held. Aktsioniste are the owners of the company, and their collective decisions, exercised through general meetings, shape the company's governance and strategic direction.
