Ailinglaplap

Ailinglaplap is an atoll in the Ralik Chain of the Marshall Islands. It is located approximately 150 kilometers east of the Jaluit Atoll. The atoll consists of a ring of islets surrounding a lagoon, with a total land area of about 4.8 square kilometers. The population of Ailinglaplap is approximately 1,700 people. The main village is on the islet of Kilu.

The economy of Ailinglaplap is primarily based on subsistence agriculture and fishing. Coconuts are grown for copra production, which is then sold for export. Fishing provides a significant source of food for the local population and is also a source of income through the sale of fish. The island has a small airstrip, facilitating transportation and access to goods and services.

Ailinglaplap is one of the larger atolls in the Marshall Islands and has a rich history. It was a significant location during World War II.
