Aigburth

Aigburth is a district in the south of Liverpool, England. It is bordered by Garston to the south, Allerton to the east, Mossley Hill to the northeast, and Sefton Park to the north. Aigburth is part of the Liverpool Wavertree parliamentary constituency.

The area is primarily residential, with a mix of Victorian and Edwardian housing, alongside more modern developments. Aigburth is well-known for Sefton Park, a large Grade I listed Victorian park, which is a significant green space in the city. The park features a lake, a palm house, and various walking paths. The River Mersey flows along the western edge of Aigburth, providing waterfront views and recreational opportunities.

Historically, Aigburth was a rural area before its development as a suburb of Liverpool during the Victorian era.
