Agilemetelmämallit, often translated as Agile Retrospective Models, are frameworks used by agile teams to inspect and adapt their processes and practices. These models provide structured approaches for conducting retrospectives, which are crucial meetings held at the end of an iteration or sprint. The primary goal of a retrospective is to identify what went well, what could be improved, and what actions the team will take to implement those improvements in the next iteration.

Several types of agilemetelmämallit exist, each offering a slightly different way to facilitate these discussions. A common and simple model is the "Start, Stop, Continue" format. In this approach, the team discusses what they should start doing, what they should stop doing, and what they should continue doing. Another popular model is the "Mad, Sad, Glad" retrospective, which focuses on the emotional state of the team members regarding the past iteration. This helps surface underlying feelings that might be impacting performance.

More structured models like "Sailboat" or "Speedboat" use metaphors to guide the discussion. The Sailboat model involves identifying anchors (impediments), wind (enablers), and the desired destination (goals). The Speedboat model is similar, focusing on engines (what propels the team forward) and anchors (what holds the team back). Regardless of the specific model used, the underlying principle is continuous improvement through regular reflection and action. The choice of model often depends on the team's maturity, current challenges, and preferred facilitation style.
