Aelfric
Aelfric, also known as Aelfric the Grammarian or Aelfric of Eynsham, was an English scholar and churchman who lived from approximately 955 to 1020. He is widely regarded as one of the most important Anglo-Saxon writers and theologians. Aelfric spent much of his life at the monastery of Abingdon and later at the Benedictine monastery of Eynsham in Oxfordshire, where he served as abbot.
