Adverbiumok, or adverbs in English, are a part of speech that modifies or describes verbs, adjectives, other adverbs, or even entire clauses. They typically answer questions such as how, when, where, why, or to what extent. For example, in the sentence "He ran quickly," "quickly" is an adverb describing how he ran. In "She arrived yesterday," "yesterday" indicates when she arrived. Adverbs can also intensify adjectives, as in "very happy," where "very" modifies the adjective "happy." Similarly, they can modify other adverbs, like in "He spoke too softly," where "too" modifies the adverb "softly."
