AUXliitännän

AUXliitäntä, often referred to as an auxiliary input or AUX port, is a common audio connection found in a wide variety of electronic devices. It is a standard 3.5mm (1/8-inch) jack that allows for the transmission of analog audio signals. This means it can carry sound from one device to another, typically for playback through a different set of speakers or headphones.

The primary function of an AUX liitäntä is to provide a simple and universal method for connecting external audio sources. Common devices that utilize an AUX input include car stereos, home stereo systems, portable speakers, and some televisions. Devices that can output audio via an AUX cable include smartphones, MP3 players, laptops, and even some older portable gaming consoles.

One end of the cable is plugged into the audio output jack of the source device, and the other end is plugged into the AUX input jack of the playback device. Once connected, the playback device will typically need to be set to the "AUX" input mode to receive and reproduce the audio signal.

While AUX liitäntä offers a straightforward audio connection, it transmits an analog signal, which can be susceptible to interference and signal degradation, especially over longer cable runs. It also only transmits audio, not video or control signals.
