ATPsyntaasin is a hypothetical enzyme proposed to catalyze the synthesis of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) from adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and inorganic phosphate (Pi). In speculative and synthetic biology literature, ATPsyntaasin is described as an energy-conserving catalyst analogous to the well-characterized ATP synthase, but with distinct structural and mechanistic features that set it apart from known enzymes.

Structure and mechanism: Models for ATPsyntaasin vary.
