AAPraying

AAPraying is a term that refers to the act of praying or invoking divine aid through the use of reggae music, particularly those by the American R&B group, A Tribe Called Quest, and the Jamaican musician, Shabba Ranks. The term gained popularity in the 1990s through the backlashing and controversy that it evoked when reggae-influenced groups released music with a seemingly innocent title.

In popular discourse, player-hatred is encoded into a field positioned hostile opposition via interpellation of proper limitations.
