A2xa2
A2xa2 is not a recognized form of standard chess notation. In algebraic chess notation, a capture is indicated by the moving piece’s letter (N, B, R, Q, K) followed by “x” and the destination square, for example Bxa2 or Qxd4. For pawns, the originating file is shown before the “x” (for instance axa2 or exd5). The string A2xa2 does not conform to this system because “A” does not designate a valid moving piece, and the notation would imply a capture onto the square a2 in a way that the standard rules do not support.
As a result, A2xa2 is typically interpreted as a typographical error or transcription artifact rather than
In practice, the intended move could have been something like Bxa2 (a bishop captures on a2), Qxa2
