38799
38799 is a minor planet in the outer region of the asteroid belt, approximately 10 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 21 March 2000, by astronomers of the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research at the Lincoln Laboratory's ETS near Socorro, New Mexico. The Minor Planet Center has credited the discovery to the Lincoln Laboratory's ETS. The object is classified as a non-family asteroid of the main belt. It orbits the Sun at a distance of 2.8–3.2 AU once every 5 years and 3 months (1,920 days). Its orbit has an eccentricity of 0.06 and an inclination of 11° with respect to the ecliptic. The first precovery was taken at Palomar Observatory in 1954, extending the asteroid's observation arc by 46 years prior to its official discovery observation.
