05S is a tropical cyclone that formed in the South Pacific Ocean during the 2017-2018 South Pacific cyclone season. The storm originated from a tropical disturbance that developed into a tropical depression on April 11, 2018. It intensified into a tropical cyclone and was named 05S by the Fiji Meteorological Service. The storm reached its peak intensity with sustained winds of 65 km/h (40 mph) and a minimum central pressure of 994 hPa. 05S maintained its strength as it moved southeastward, eventually weakening and dissipating on April 14, 2018. The storm did not impact any landmasses and remained at sea throughout its duration.
