Öljynlämpötila
Öljynlämpötila, or oil temperature, refers to the thermal state of oil in various applications. This is a critical parameter in many mechanical systems, particularly those involving lubrication or heat transfer. In internal combustion engines, for instance, oil temperature is monitored to ensure proper lubrication and to prevent overheating. Engine oil lubricates moving parts, reducing friction and wear. Its temperature directly affects its viscosity, or flow resistance. If the oil becomes too hot, its viscosity decreases, potentially leading to inadequate lubrication and increased engine damage. Conversely, if the oil is too cold, it may not flow efficiently, also hindering lubrication. Automotive dashboards often include an oil temperature gauge to provide drivers with this information.
Beyond engines, oil temperature is also important in hydraulic systems, where oil acts as a power transmission
