Öndunareitti

Öndunareitti is an Icelandic term formed from öndun, meaning breathing, and reitti, meaning route or path. In medical and educational contexts it is used to denote the route air takes as it enters and travels through the respiratory system. The expression captures the concept of a continuous air passage from the outside environment to the sites of gas exchange.
