Étatváltozásának

"Étatváltozásának" is a Hungarian term that translates to "phase transition" in English. It refers to the physical process where a substance changes from one state of matter to another. These states are typically solid, liquid, and gas, though plasma is also considered a state of matter. The most common examples include melting, where a solid turns into a liquid, and boiling or evaporation, where a liquid turns into a gas. Conversely, condensation is the transition from gas to liquid, and freezing is the transition from liquid to solid. Sublimation is a less common phase transition where a solid directly becomes a gas, bypassing the liquid state, and deposition is the reverse process, where a gas becomes a solid.

These transitions occur at specific temperatures and pressures, known as phase transition points. For instance, water freezes at 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) and boils at 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit) at standard atmospheric pressure. During a phase transition, the temperature of the substance often remains constant even though heat is being added or removed.
