Wizzard is a British rock band formed in Birmingham in 1970. The band was founded by Roy Wood, who had previously been a member of The Move and co-founded Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). Wizzard is best known for their distinctive glam rock sound, characterized by elaborate vocal harmonies, flamboyant stage presence, and a blend of rock and roll with pop sensibilities.

The band achieved significant commercial success in the UK during the early to mid-1970s, releasing a string of popular singles and albums. Their debut single, "Ball Park Incident," reached number 5 on the UK Singles Chart in 1972. Wizzard's most famous song is "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday," a festive anthem that has become a perennial Christmas hit in the UK since its release in 1973. Other notable hits include "See My Baby Jive," "Angel Fingers," and "Rock N Roll Winter (Wombling Merry Christmas)."

Wizzard released three studio albums: "Wizzard" (1972), "Wizzard Brew" (1973), and "Introducing Eddy and the Cruisers" (1974). The band's live performances were known for their elaborate costumes, props, and energetic delivery. Despite their popularity, Wizzard's career was relatively short-lived, with the band disbanding in 1976. Roy Wood continued to pursue solo projects and collaborate with other musicians. Wizzard's influence can be seen in subsequent glam rock and power pop bands, and "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" remains a staple of holiday music.
