vormiõõnsuse

Vormiõõnsus is an Estonian term that translates to "mold cavity" or "cavity mold" in English. It refers to the empty space within a mold that defines the shape of the final product being manufactured. This space is created by the precise arrangement of mold parts, such as the core and the cavity. When molten material, such as plastic, metal, or ceramic, is injected or poured into the vormiõõnsus, it takes on the form of this internal space.

The design of the vormiõõnsus is critical to the success of the manufacturing process and the quality of the finished part. Factors such as the volume, shape, surface finish, and any internal features like ribs or bosses are all determined by the geometry of the mold cavity. During the molding process, the material fills the vormiõõnsus under pressure and cools or solidifies, after which the mold opens to reveal the formed object.
