Veintovein refers to a punk rock band formed in 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Kristen Crowe, guitarist Janet Allison, guitarist Carolyn May, bassist Lisa Cottrell, and drummer Victoria "Tori" Payen.

Veintovein was part of the 1970s and 1980s second and third wave of feminist and lesbian feminist punk rock bands in the United States. The band's music and aesthetic were deeply rooted in a DIY ethos and anti-establishment politics.

Veintovein's sound was characterized by its raw, abrasive energy and socially conscious lyrics, which addressed issues such as sexism, racism, and female empowerment. The band released an EP in 1980 on the Bagnet label, featuring a compound photograph cover design attributed to Peggi Simpson.

Veintovein's impact on the punk rock movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s has been cited as significant by some historians of the genre. Their music and aesthetic introduced feminist and lesbian themes into the punk rock scene, creating a more inclusive space for women and LGBTQ+ artists. Despite disbanding in the early 1980s, Veintovein's influence can be seen in later punk bands that incorporated feminist and queer perspectives.

A 2003 retrospective compilation, "Veintovein: Early Recordings and Anthems 1978-1981," released on Kill Rock Stars, helped to rekindle interest in the band's music and ideology.
