Usaldusväärsuseks refers to the Estonian so-called "values of merit" or "valuable worth", which are exceptional merits of an individual that have been officially recognized by the state as having significantly contributed to Estonian society.

These values of merit can be in the form of achievements in various fields such as science, art, education, sports, or other areas of human endeavor. The list of recognized values of merit can be updated annually, though names of the previous year's award winners remain on this list.

To be considered, the merits must be of an exceptional nature, and a total of no more than 100 individuals are officially recognized each year by the President of Estonia as having achieved exceptional worth in various fields. Those awarded are not paid or entitled to any other compensation, but they are publicly recognized for their outstanding contributions to Estonia.

The awards date back to 1997 and are acknowledged in Estonia annually by the news media.
