tõstetavate

Tõstetavate is an Estonian grammatical form derived from the adjective tõstetav, meaning “inflated,” “raised,” or “elevated.” The form is plural genitive (or partitive, depending on context) and is used to describe nouns whose value, status, or emphasis has been increased. For example, “tõstetavate hindeid” refers to “raised grades,” while “tõstetavate päevadeks” would mean “for the days that have been heightened.”

The root verb, tõsta, means “to lift” or “to raise.” In Estonian, the adjective form is created by adding -tav to the verb stem and then applying the appropriate case endings. Tõstetav thus appears in contexts where something has been made higher or more prominent, such as in financial reports (“tõstetavate hinna indeksid”), educational discussions (“tõstetavate teaduslike tulemuste” – heightened scientific results), or rhetorical passages where emphasis is added.
