tovonlarining

Tovonlarining is a possessive/genitive form in Uzbek derived from the noun tovon (sword). By combining the plural suffix -lar to form tovonlar (swords) and adding the possessive/genitive suffix -ining, the resulting form tovonlarining marks possession by a plural or collective owner, and functions as the possessor in a noun phrase such as the swords’ or of the swords.

In Uzbek grammar, possessive marks attach to the head noun to indicate ownership or relation, and the possessor is often understood from context. The form tovonlarining typically appears before a noun that expresses a property or attribute of the swords, or before a phrase that specifies what is being described. For example, the compound meaning can be translated as “the length of the swords” (tovonlarining uzunligi) or “the color of the swords” (tovonlarining rangi), where tovonlarining acts as the possessive head of the phrase.
