Toonlooshi is a term of Indonesian origin that refers to a local sport in East Java, specifically in the Banyuwangi Regency. It is a traditional game that involves a ball made of twisted rattan or wood, with a soft rubber coating, having a small hole at its center, attached to a rope.

The game of Toonlooshi is played in a large open area, often on a beach or in a field. Two teams, each consisting of four players, take turns hitting the ball with their hands, trying to throw it over the boundary of the opposing team's court. If a team succeeds in throwing the ball over the boundary, they are awarded a score. Players can also use their hands to deflect the ball from flying away.

Toonlooshi is not just a game but also a form of exercise, particularly for the young people in the region. It is a way of maintaining physical fitness while socializing with friends and family. Players move their bodies extensively and, as a result, get an excellent workout.

Toonlooshi players usually mark the boundary of their court using two players positioned at opposite points. These players are responsible for protecting their team's court from the opposing team's ball-throws. Traditional versions of the game involve basic rules: anytime the player loses control over the ball and the ball touches the ground ball ownership moves to the other team. The first team scoring 10 points is declared the winner, the second team then enters the playing field. Players over 18 years may also make themselves independent game masters.

Toonlooshi is regulated by the local government, as well as by the Indonesian Sports Ministry. As a result, organized tournaments are held every year.
