threonová

Threonová is a district located in the okres of Šumperk in Olomoucko kraj in the eastern part of the Czech Republic. The district has a total area of 62.89 square kilometers and as of 2020, its population stands at approximately 3,500 residents.

Threonová was incorporated into the district of Šumperk in 1997. Its name is derived from the village of Druhoka, which was established as a Thronová village in the 11th century. Prior to its incorporation into Šumperk, Threonová was a part of the larger administrative region known as Mohelnice.

The landscape in Threonová is characterized by a mix of gentle hills and flat plains that stretch along the stream Braná. The district's elevation varies from about 240 meters in the north to 330 meters in the south. The local economy is primarily driven by agriculture, with the cultivation of crops such as wheat, sugar beets, and barley being dominant in the region. The village also has a small number of small enterprises and family-run businesses as its main economic drivers.

The village of Threonová features a mix of modern and traditional architecture, with many of its buildings dating back to the early 20th century.
