tancar

Tancar is a Catalan verb meaning to close, shut, or seal. It covers both physical closure (tancar una porta, tancar una finestra) and the closing of abstract or figurative things (tancar un acord, tancar una sessió). It can also be used reflexively, as in tancar-se, to close oneself off or to shut oneself in.
