Soluto is a term used in chemistry to denote the substance dissolved in a solution. The substance doing the dissolving is the solvent, and together they form a solution. In English, the standard term for the dissolved substance is solute; soluto is the equivalent term in several Romance languages, notably Italian and Spanish, where it labels the component dissolved in a solution.

The word derives from Latin solutus, meaning loosened or freed, through the noun solutio. In technical writing, soluto or solute appear depending on language. The properties of the solute—such as its concentration, molar mass, and chemical reactivity—determine many characteristics of the solution, including solubility, boiling point elevation, freezing point depression, and colligative effects.

Soluto is also used as the proper name of a technology company that produced PC optimization software in the early 2010s. The company offered cloud-based tools intended to identify and remove unnecessary software, improve startup performance, and guide users in resolving PC issues. As a brand, Soluto appears in various product histories and technology press from that period.
