småcellnät
Småcellnät, or small cell networks, refer to a type of cellular network infrastructure that utilizes numerous low-power base stations, often called small cells, to provide wireless coverage. These small cells are significantly smaller than traditional macrocell towers and can be deployed in various locations such as streetlights, utility poles, building rooftops, and indoor environments. The primary purpose of small cell networks is to increase network capacity and improve coverage, particularly in densely populated areas or challenging radio environments where traditional macrocells may struggle to provide adequate service.
The deployment of small cells complements existing macrocell networks by offloading traffic from the main network.
