Sijalice is a village located in the municipality of Ljubovija, in the Mačva District of Serbia. The village is situated in the Mačva District, which is a part of the Kolubara District. Sijalice has a long history dating back to the Middle Ages, and archaeological excavations have revealed that the area has been inhabited since the Roman period.

During the Middle Ages, the village was part of the medieval kingdom of Serbia and later became part of the Ottoman Empire. The village was heavily impacted during the 16th to 19th centuries, as many of its inhabitants were forced to flee or were massacred by Ottoman troops. After Serbia gained independence in 1835, the village began to be repopulated with settlers from neighboring areas.

In the early 20th century, Sijalice experienced significant growth, with many new homes being built and the establishment of a locally-owned church. However, during World War II, the village was severely impacted by the war, and many of its residents were killed or taken prisoner. After the war, the village was quickly rebuilt, and new inhabitants were brought in to repopulate the area.

Today, Sijalice is a small village with a population of just over 1,000 residents. The village is situated near the banks of the Gorupskog Potoka river and is surrounded by rolling hills and forests. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture, with many residents engaged in farming and animal husbandry. The village also has a small school and a locally-owned church, which serves as a community center and place of worship.
