Siittiöaidio, also known as spermatogonium, is a diploid cell found in the seminiferous tubules of the testes. It is the primordial germ cell that undergoes mitosis to produce more spermatogonia and also differentiates into primary spermatocytes, initiating the process of spermatogenesis, the production of sperm. Spermatogonia are the stem cells of the male germline. They are located at the periphery of the seminiferous tubules, adjacent to the basal lamina.
