Signaalivasteet, often translated as signal responses or signal conditioning, refers to the process of modifying an electrical signal to make it suitable for measurement, processing, or transmission. In many measurement systems, the raw signal from a sensor is very small and susceptible to interference. Signal conditioning circuitry boosts the amplitude of these signals to a level that can be accurately read by subsequent stages, such as analog-to-digital converters or microcontrollers. Linearization is another common technique, used when the sensor output is not directly proportional to the measured quantity. This involves applying mathematical functions to correct the signal and provide a linear representation of the physical parameter. In some cases, signal conditioning may also include converting a voltage signal to a current signal or vice versa, or converting an analog signal to a digital signal. The specific techniques employed depend heavily on the application and the characteristics of the original signal and the intended use.
