Signaaliradat is a Finnish term used to describe a type of signal fire system that was widely used during World War II and the Continuation War. The system was employed by the Finnish Army for command, control, and communication purposes.

The Finnish Army developed and employed various types of signaaliradat systems, which were in use until the end of the wars. These systems included, but were not limited to, flash line systems, flame line systems, and visual signal line systems.

The signaaliradat system consisted of a network of signal beacons, signal towers, and observer posts placed in strategic locations. Each signal station was equipped with a specific type of fire or signal utilized for identification purposes.

One type of signaaliradat system that was used by the Finnish military included the Orkan signal fire. These were flame-type beacons made to produce large quantities of smoke when lit.

The effectiveness of the signaaliradat system contributed significantly to the Finnish Army's ability to transmit information in the challenging winter environments of the Continuation War.
