Sega Jatele is a fictional virtual world targeting teenagers, developed by SEGA and served primarily as part of its investment in the kid-friendly and family-based game portal known as Kids Island, discoverable on the Jini console and previously on the Dreamcast.

Announced in March 2000, the portal held ambitions to prosper as a potential working ground for various companies to produce games they might have otherwise focused on more mainstream markets. But it sadly garnered mostly focus from Japanese developers, impacting its earlier viability to sustain the DC as an adequate contender on the scene.

Although kids might express interest in exploring Kids Island, due to the Japanese impact of SEGA, only some, namely developers in Japan who showcased enthusiasm, rarely cited optimism about its shard in getting a foothold abroad. However, outside of development studio undersea, akin to free-market investments, link notes it bobbed outside communities clinging intensely.
