Savasítók, a Hungarian term, translates to "acidifiers" in English and refers to substances that increase acidity. In various contexts, this term can denote a range of applications and chemical properties.

In agriculture and horticulture, savasítók are employed to lower the pH of soil. This is particularly important for plants that thrive in acidic conditions, such as blueberries, rhododendrons, and azaleas. Commonly used soil acidifiers include sulfur, aluminum sulfate, and iron sulfate. By reducing soil alkalinity, these substances make essential nutrients more available to the plants, promoting healthier growth.
