Sõnastikus is the inessive singular form of the Estonian noun sõnastik, meaning "dictionary." It is used to indicate location inside a dictionary or within dictionaries, for example in references, glosses, or linguistic descriptions.

The base word sõnastik denotes a collection of words compiled for reference. It is formed from sõna (word) plus the suffix -stik, which yields a noun meaning a collection or compendium. The inessive ending -s attaches to the stem to express "in the dictionary." As a result, sõnastikus literally means "in the dictionary" and is a standard form in Estonian grammar.
