rézoxidok

Rézoxidok are chemical compounds containing copper and oxygen. The most common and stable forms are copper(I) oxide (Cu2O) and copper(II) oxide (CuO).

Copper(I) oxide, also known as cuprous oxide, is a reddish-brown solid. It is a semiconductor and has found applications in antifouling paints for ships, as a fungicide, and in some solar cells. It can be formed by the partial reduction of copper(II) ions or by heating copper in a limited supply of oxygen.

Copper(II) oxide, or cupric oxide, is a black solid. It is a common pigment in ceramics and glass, giving them a blue or green color. It is also used in the production of other copper compounds, as a catalyst in various chemical reactions, and in batteries. Copper(II) oxide is formed when copper is heated in an excess of oxygen.

Both rézoxidok can be found naturally, though less commonly than the elements themselves. Their properties and uses vary significantly based on the oxidation state of the copper.
