ruokaketjulle
Ruokaketjulle, often translated as "food chain" in English, refers to the sequence of organisms in an ecosystem where each organism is eaten by the next organism in the chain. This concept illustrates the flow of energy and nutrients through an environment. At the base of most ruokaketjulle are producers, typically plants or algae, which create their own food through photosynthesis. These producers are then consumed by primary consumers, which are herbivores. Secondary consumers, which are carnivores or omnivores, eat the primary consumers. Tertiary consumers, often at the top of the ruokaketjulle, prey on secondary consumers.
The ruokaketjulle is a simplified model. In reality, ecosystems are more complex and are better represented
