rinteestä

Rinteestä is the elative singular form of the Finnish noun rinne, meaning slope, hillside, or ski run. It is used to indicate origin or starting point—literally “from the slope.” In Finnish, the elative case answers questions such as mistä? (from where?), and rinteestä is the common form when the source is a slope or hillside.

In usage, rinteestä describes movement from a slope or the location of something that originates from the slope. Examples include: Hän tuli rinteestä. (He came from the slope.)
