"Regressief" is an adjective used in Dutch to describe something that is moving backward or regressing. The term is often used in various contexts, including social, political, and technological domains. In a social context, a regressief society might be characterized by a decline in education, health, and economic opportunities, often accompanied by an increase in inequality and social unrest. Politically, a regressief government or policy might be seen as moving away from progressive ideals, such as social justice and environmental sustainability, towards more conservative or traditional values.
