résztvev

Résztvev is not a standard standalone form in Hungarian. The conventional noun is résztvevő, meaning a person who takes part in an event, activity, or process. The term is widely used to denote participants or attendees in meetings, surveys, competitions, trainings, and research studies. In plural the word becomes résztvevők.

The etymology traces to the verb phrase részt venni, which means to take part. The agent noun suffix -ő yields résztvevő, literally “one who takes part.” Depending on case and possessive forms, résztvevő inflects like other Hungarian nouns: résztvevője (his/her/its participant), résztvevőt (accusative), résztvevők (plural), and so on. In compound expressions it appears in phrases such as résztvevő lista (list of participants) or résztvevő országok (participating countries).

Note on orthography: in proper Hungarian the diacritics are part of the word, so correct spellings are résztvevő or résztvevői in some forms. The non-diacritic representations (for example, resztvevo or résztvev) may appear in informal writing or data-processing contexts, but they are not standard.
