proteinsynthesis
Protein synthesis is the fundamental biological process by which cells create new proteins. This process is essential for virtually all cellular functions and is carried out in two main stages: transcription and translation. Transcription occurs in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells and involves the copying of genetic information from DNA into a messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule. This mRNA then travels out of the nucleus into the cytoplasm.
Translation takes place in the cytoplasm on ribosomes, which are cellular machinery responsible for protein production.
