policzy

Policzy is a Polish verb form derived from policzyć, meaning to count or to tally. It is the third-person singular future tense of the perfective verb policzyć, which denotes a counting action that will be completed.

Conjugation and usage notes: The infinitive is policzyć. In the simple future, the forms are: ja policzę, ty policzysz, on policzy, my policzymy, wy policzycie, oni policzą. The imperative forms include policz (singular) and policzcie (plural). The past tense forms are policzył (masculine), policzyła (feminine), policzyło (neuter). For example, "On policzy wszystkie głosy" means "He will count all the votes," while "Policzmy to razem" can mean "Let us count this together."

Grammar and aspect: Policzyć is a perfective verb, so policzy expresses a completed counting action in the future. In contrast, the imperfective counterpart liczyć conveys ongoing or repeated counting, such as "liczy głosy" (he is counting the votes / counts votes in general).
