pendül
Pendül is a German word that translates to "pendulum" in English. A pendulum is a weight suspended from a pivot so that it can swing freely. When a pendulum is displaced from its resting, equilibrium position, it is subject to a restoring force due to gravity that will accelerate it back toward the equilibrium position. When released, the restoring force continues to move the pendulum until its kinetic energy is transformed into potential energy at its highest point. The pendulum then swings back toward the equilibrium position, converting potential energy to kinetic energy, and this process repeats in a regular, periodic motion.
The period of a pendulum is the time it takes for one complete cycle of this motion.
Pendulums have a wide range of applications, from timekeeping devices like clocks and watches to scientific
