osasarja
Osasarja, in Finnish mathematical terminology, refers to a subseries of a given series. Given a series ∑_{n=1}^∞ a_n, an osasija is formed by selecting an increasing sequence of indices n_1 < n_2 < n_3 < … and considering the subseries ∑_{k=1}^∞ a_{n_k}.
Convergence and properties: If the original series ∑ a_n converges absolutely, then every subseries ∑ a_{n_k} also converges
If the original series converges conditionally, subseries can either converge to a different limit or diverge.
Osasarja is a standard concept in real analysis and is used to study how selecting terms affects
