Normoblast is a term used in hematology to describe a nucleated red blood cell precursor. These cells are found in the bone marrow and are in the process of developing into mature red blood cells, also known as erythrocytes. Normoblasts are characterized by the presence of a nucleus, which gradually condenses and is eventually extruded as the cell matures.
