Normaltype refers to a category within the Pokémon franchise. In the Pokémon games and related media, Pokémon and their attacks are assigned types, which determine their strengths and weaknesses in battle. The Normal type is one of the original types introduced in the first generation of Pokémon games.

Normal-type Pokémon are often characterized by their generalist nature, lacking extreme weaknesses but also not possessing many resistances. They are immune to Ghost-type attacks, meaning Ghost-type moves have no effect on them. Conversely, Normal-type attacks are not very effective against Rock and Steel-type Pokémon, and they have no effect on Ghost-type Pokémon.
