neliömuotojen
Neliömuotojen, often translated as "quadratic forms" in English, refers to a fundamental concept in linear algebra and multivariable calculus. It is a polynomial in two or more variables where each term is of degree two. A general quadratic form in n variables x1, x2, ..., xn can be written as a sum of terms of the form a_ij * x_i * x_j, where a_ij are coefficients.
These forms can be elegantly represented using matrix notation. A quadratic form can be expressed as x^T
Quadratic forms have wide-ranging applications. In geometry, they define conic sections (like ellipses, parabolas, and hyperbolas)
